FWD Insurance: Hong Kong Story Walk - Miniature Hong Kong, invites you to immerse yourself in stories that carry precious memories for Hong Kongers of all ages. From daily necessities, local dishes and festive traditions, all aspects of daily life have been preserved in this special exhibition, which showcases not only the past, but also how these precious elements have contributed to our lively city today. FWD Insurance: Hong Kong Story Walk - Miniature Hong Kong in collaboration with TOMA Miniatures, the famous micro-modelling artist, to create an unrivalled story walk that is a journey through some of the city's fondest moments, all brought to life through an array of detailed miniature replicas.

Exhibition

Showcasing 21 exquisite pieces of micro models, "FWD Insurance: Hong Kong Story Walk - Miniature Hong Kong" invites guests on a journey through these nostalgic scenes set at HOUSE 1881, the historic heritage site at the heart of the city. There, they will rediscover the precious moments that Hong Kongers hold dear through a series of engaging experiences.

Tony Lai and Maggie Chan, Founders of TOMA Miniatures, said, “Each miniature model preserves a detailed slice of history, bringing all the city’s fondest memories back to life. Through this special exhibition with its nine debut pieces, we hope the public will expand their awareness of our rich heritage, like folk customs and traditional festive celebrations, and recall the precious memories shared by all Hong Kongers.”

The exhibition includes five mock designs of familiar scenes from bygone eras, including “Celebrate the city’s iconic festivals”, “Living in the vertical city”, “Cherishing a modern heritage”, “History in Motion”, “Living with local traditions”, offering an immersive experience that aims to give guests a nostalgic peek into the daily aspects of the past, from festive traditions and charming neighbourhoods, to gastronomic treats and iconic landmarks.

FWD HOUSE 1881’s Café Parlour and Fortune Villa is providing thematic dining experiences for this exhibition so that customers can taste the Nostalgia as well as see it during the exhibition.

Check out the “mini red bean mousse cup” made in the look of the famous red bean drink, traditional walnut cake and shrimp toasts. Nostalgia Dishes at Fortune Villa

Interactive Workshops

After reminiscing about the city’s fondest moments along the exhibit journey, guests can create their own memories through a line-up of interactive workshops. Come join the Minibus Sign Writing Workshop, where guests can take home a unique minibus sign, with the calligraphy exclusively designed by them. Or, by participating in the Miniature Crafts Workshop, guests may showcase their craftsmanship and create their own mini replica of the signature afternoon tea set of Café Parlour, HOUSE 1881.
